Dr. Aroem Naroeni currently serves as a Researcher and Biosafety Officer at the Virology and Cancer Pathobiology Research Center, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia. She received her Master and Ph.D. in Infectious diseases and tropical pathology from Aix Marseille II University, France after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Gajah Mada University.

She serves as Secretary I of the Indonesian Biorisk Association. She has developed training modules for biorisk management, conducted many trainings across Indonesia, and serves as a member of the Technical Committee of the Indonesian Standardization Body (BSN). She is Auditor for Laboratory Biorisk Management and Assessor for SNI ISO 35001:2019 at One Health Laboratory Network (OHLN) of Indonesia One Health University Network (INDOHUN)

Dr Aroem Naroeni has research experience in Brucella, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, HIV, HPV, Natural product for antiviral drugs, Stem cell and tissue engineering.
